ENT 3003 Forming an Opportunity Belief

1.) I have a belief that the current energy grid is outdated and in need of a more wireless and less alterable electrical grid.

2.) The unmet need is the lack of accessible and affordable energy necessary to power our growing society without the use of non-renewable resources, those that have this need are specifically those within developing nations and certain areas of rural America, where electricity is difficult to excess due to their location. The need is fairly new has it has become a growing problem for the world to find a new means of renewable energy. Many people including companies are using solar power as well as wind or water has a means of generating electricity without fossil fuels. I would say I am currently 65% that this opportunity exists

3.) The ideal customer would be one in need of electricity within Rural America

4.)I interviewed my Uncle who works in a Nuclear Power Plant out in Idaho, he began noticing this need a few years ago when the Nuclear Power Plant could no longer provide energy to the entire Northeast of the State when it went under construction, however, this need is only present when the Plant is under construction during the winter. As an increase in number of houses without electricity through the winter could be deadly they're switching to generators to keep houses running during winter at times. Many civilians are not satisfied with this solution because winter is a crucial time and almost impossible to survive without heat.

3.) Members of the Developing Nations

4.) I interviewed my Family back in Nigeria, we discussed how the need for an energy source is always felt and is never something that goes away since having electricity is a luxury. This need has always been present sine 1960's ever since the Nigerian Independence became official. Many people do not have the money nor the luxury of addressing this need, instead they burn kerosene labs and try to buy a generator if possible. They are currently not satisfied within this solution because it is merely a band-aid for a much larger problem.

3.) College Campuses and Students

4.) I spoke with many RA's as well as the System Manager for FSU dormitories, what I learned was quite surprising. Most of the energy that runs throughout Florida Campus are actually recycled, over the last few years there's been an increase in recycled energy. from solar panel trash cans to solar powered auditoriums many universities across Florida have already switched the majority of their systems to a more eco-friendly system. This need has satisfied many people across the state including state legislators and students. They first became aware of this need nearly 10 years ago during the Hurricane season when power was lost for over a month due to destruction of near by energy grid blocks.  Since then many universities and companies have turned towards more eco-friendly energy systems.

5.) This assignment was very enlightening as the saying goes sometimes you think you have an idea but chances are someone has already implemented it in a different form. Although some people are clearly in desperate need of renewable energy the cost of developing this could be more expensive than actually implementing.

7.) My opportunity belief has changed greatly because I realize that even though I may have a good idea, a simpler more effective solution may already be in play. Not much of my original idea is still intact in part because I realized how difficult it would be to implement also whether it would truly meet the need of the prospective customers, I believe all entrepreneurs  should adapt to a certain degree to their customers, however, often times in order to lead the orchestra you have to turn your back to the crowd so this is an idea that I personally hold to and think entrepreneurs should put more stock in. I do believe that my new opportunity is more refined and perhaps more accurate now that I understand the needs of the community better.

ENT 3003 Entrepreneurial Story

My junior year of High school I developed a theory to see if it would be possible to develop Radiant Energy, an invention and concept initially envisioned by Nikolai Tesla. I soon founded Humanity Aiding Technology Project (HAT Non-Profit)- In 2016 I founded this non-profit project which built radiant energy generators which can generate electricity without using non-renewable resources. Once these generators were built they were implemented in low income neighborhoods to reduce energy consumption and also to see if it were possible to transmit electricity through a more efficient method than an energy grid like the one used throughout modern america.

Bug List ENT 3003

1.) Inability to Listen to Music and Charge your iPhone X due to single port design.

Why: This bug was an initial design flaw with the singular purpose of promoting Bluetooth headphones and other wireless capabilities, however; because Bluetooth technology has not caught up with plug in headphones it leaves a great gap between what is futuristic and what is actually usable and pleasurable.

2.) The inability for many bus riders to determine when they're bus driver is on a break, so that those of us waiting for the bus do not wait at  the bus longer than necessary.

Why: Each bus driver is allowed a certain amount of break, however, bus riders do not have a specific time when they should take that break, they can take it whenever they feel it convenient as long as another driver can take over that specific route during the shift.

3.) Lack of Water Tank for the my Air Conditioner

Why: Due to the apartment style living that I currently reside in many of the A/C units do not have enough room for a Water Tank when water begins to leak from the A/C during the summer, which causes me to have to constantly call the repair man or mop it up myself.

4.) Playstation Compatibility Across Platform, many Ps4 Players cannot play with other players across platform like P.C. or Xbox gamers

Why: This issue exists because the technology to have built in cross platform gaming does not exist within the Playstation Network but does not exists within Xbox and P.C. gaming

5.) Many scooters are limited by their size, because of this they lack proper seat belt restraints.

Why: Seat belt restraints are something missing from all scooter and most motorcycles as it is often common for many who ride these things to shift with the wait of the scooter causing restraints to be difficult to implement and evenly deadly.

6.) Protective Covering for Food from Radiation during Use of Microwave

Why: The effectiveness of Microwave is the use of direct contact between food and heat generated by the microwave causing any covering to be mute.

7.) Insane Waiting Time during Lunch Time at the Reitz Union Food Court which causes blockage of doorways and stairwells

Why: The limit of food resources at the reitz uinon causes small selection options for students they're by causing longer lines.

8.) Price of Textbook at UF Bookstore  in comparison to those found online

Why: The bookstore is more expensive because of the direct relationship between the books Company and UF Bookstore, this causes higher prices.

9.) Many text message systems on Android are very slow what bugs me is a lack of Imessage Application for Andriod Users,

Why: Due to Andriods open system they do not have a single foundation for which a text message app can be sent, this causes cross platform lag in messaging

10.)  When it rains it pours and many scooter drivers do not have a protective covering like cars do. to shield them from detrimental weather.

Why: Due to their size and relative cheapness many scooters do not have a covering to protect their drivers from weather during use it would cost more if they're was a covering and also be difficult to implement.

11.) Overheating of Phones, while a phone charges, or maybe at the end of the day the battery receives this charge causing the phone to heat.

Why; Due to the lithium style batteries used in phones this element heats up when heated causing the phone to heats up

12.) Because most filters are dependent on how often they are used many times I may not know exactly when to change my filters on my A.C. because it is not on frequently and used sporadically.

Why: Because you cannot tell when to change a filter with irregular use since the filter timeline is based solely on regular usage.

13.) The inability for Iphones to allow the usage of multitasking through multiple apps being used at once because the CPU and RAM cannot handle the different multiple apps running at the same time.

14.)  As someone who is lactose and tolerant it is often difficult to eat dairy products such as ice cream, or cheese that do not contain lactose, they are lactose and tolerant milk but not other dairy products.

Why: It is often times very difficult to make diary products without lactate, it is a more expensive fermentation process one that may cost more than it is to sell the lactose intolerant product.

15.) Many bluetooth devices are limited by how strong their battery can handle wireless signals, my bluetooth device can not play music more than 10 feet away from my phone.

Why: due to this many devices have short ranges because of the small battery sizes, battery can only sustain sending signals less than 10 feet.

16.) Many UF students have to cross the roads throughout Turlington, which adds nearly 30 minutes to travel time when driving throughout campus, traffic gets clogged so much that if emergency vehicles needed to pass they would not be able too.

Why: Because of the design of the school, and the number of students who are scheduled to take classes at the same time, his causes many students to be walking around and using the streets as a pseudo-side walk.

17) Each professor is limited to a number of TA's and judging by how popular the classes are they're can be hundreds of students within one course. The number of students per class here at UF is too high.

Why: Certain courses are more popular than others, some of them require more staffing and more money to fund, with a lack of tenured teachers causes many teachers to take on more students and a higher course number with more course work.

18.) Many Lab Materials are often reusable, but many Labs require you to buy a new set of Manuals or perhaps another lab work set such as scalpel and for sets

Why: Many times Protocol requires a new set of manuals and also a new set of work set tools because of contamination protocol.

19.)  Doctors are busy individuals often seeing dozens of patients within a few hours, however, the wait time to see a doctor when one makes an appointment is truly ridiculous.

Why: Many doctors book patients with what is known as a "30 minute patient interval" these are thirty minutes before or after your appointment time that the doctor may not be able to get to you, this is so that the patient and the respective families may feel that they are getting the doctors undivided attention.

20.) Often times it is almost impossible to complete assignments without the use of the internet, this may sound as like a positive good, but often times during natural disasters or other modes of disasters where electricity is out its as if life itself as stopped.

Why: We currently live in a technological age, all things most be done on the internet, or at least controlled by some electrical device.

This assignment was quite difficult for me because, while I have thought of things that bother me, I have not considered how or why they bother me, but also how I might be able to develop a solution for these issues.
